SUPPLEMENTAL EFFECTS OF MICROALGAE SPIRULINA ARTHROSPIRA PLATENSIS TO THE PLANT-BASED DIET FOR PACIFIC WHITE SHRIMP Litopenaeus vannamei

A sixty-days feeding trial was conducted to evaluate the inclusion effect of spirulina Arthrospira platensis meal (SM) in diet on growth and health condition juvenile Pacific white shrimp Litopenaeus vannamei. Four isonitrogenous iso-lipidic experimental diets were formulated contain 0%, 0,2%, 0,4% 0,8% SM. After 60 days, sampled total haemocyte counts measured. The performances significantly affected by dietary SM, whereas SM provides a better biomass, final body weight (FBW), gain (WG) feed conversion ratio (FCR) compared control group. Additionally, enhances haemocytes count (THC) lysozyme activity Therefore, can be considered as functional ingredients improve shrimp.
